Founders
Four innovative and dynamic women were the catalyst for the creation of the Leadership Illinois Program in 1988. These women, who were chosen to participate from Illinois in the acclaimed Leadership America program, sought to create an opportunity on a more local basis whereby top women leaders could support each other as well as mentor and nurture future leaders. These founding women worked to create the organization and annual conference format along with garnering support from Illinois businesses and interested individuals.
